Sometimes, the idea of perfection is paralysing. Overwhelming to the point that people would rather do nothing than do something imperfectly. We believe the opposite: we don't need a handful of people living completely sustainable lives — we need millions of people making better choices, imperfectly.

Fashion consumption is at an all-time high. Every product leaves a carbon footprint. Being entirely sustainable would mean producing nothing. But the apparel industry employs millions globally. So we look for realistic, long-term solutions — ethical working conditions at every step of production, and genuinely reduced environmental impact.

Sustainability has become a buzzword used to sell products. To us, it's not a marketing strategy. It's a standard. Every production decision we've made since day one has been made with sustainability in mind — that's part of why the name 2000s exists: doing the right thing, not the cheap thing.

01

Materials

We use only GOTS-certified organic cotton and recycled materials. No conventional cotton — the world's dirtiest crop. No synthetic dyes that pollute groundwater. Fabric that's safer for your skin and the planet.

02

Ethical Production

Every factory we work with is audited for fair wages, safe conditions, and legal working hours. We don't use cheap offshore labour. We pay more to produce better — and we don't take shortcuts.

03

Environmental Impact

Limited drops mean less waste. We don't overproduce. Every run is sized carefully to minimise unsold inventory. When we do have excess, we donate before we discount or destroy.

04

Packaging

All packaging is made from 100% recycled materials. No virgin plastics. Mailers are home-compostable. We're removing plastic polybags from our supply chain entirely by end of 2025.

GOTS-Certified Organic Cotton

Conventional cotton uses 24% of the world's insecticides and 11% of global pesticides. It degrades soil and pollutes groundwater. Our organic cotton is grown without harmful chemicals, certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) — the most rigorous standard covering everything from harvest through packaging.

Recycled Polyester

Where we need poly blends for structure or stretch, we use recycled polyester made from post-consumer plastic bottles. This diverts waste from landfill and uses 70% less energy to produce than virgin polyester.

Recycled Cotton

Some of our fleece blends use recycled cotton from factory offcuts, reducing the need for new raw material entirely.

Our organic cotton is sourced from certified farms in Turkey and Portugal — both countries with strong environmental regulation and ethical labour standards. Our recycled materials are processed in Europe to ensure traceability throughout the supply chain.

We require full chain-of-custody documentation from all fabric suppliers and conduct annual factory audits to verify ongoing compliance.

All orders within the UAE ship via road courier — significantly lower emissions than air freight for domestic delivery. International orders are consolidated where possible to reduce per-package carbon footprint.

Returns are accepted within 14 days on unworn items. We process returns in-house rather than automatically destroying them — every return is inspected and resold if possible before any other outcome.

We are a new brand. We don't have a perfect record — we're building one. Our commitment is to be transparent about where we are, honest about what we're working on, and to treat every production decision as an opportunity to do better.

Current targets: carbon-neutral shipping by 2026. Zero virgin plastic in packaging by end of 2025. Third-party annual sustainability audit published publicly from 2026 onwards.
